When I first started fighting, it was all I did. No weights, no sport specific workouts. Just drilling and sparring. Over the last few years my mindset and stance on training has changed considerably. As I get older and wiser Im seeing the necessity for metabolic and hypertrophy training. Where I used to “Spar Harder” to get in shape, Im now doing sprint intervals, HIIT training, energy circuits etc. in order to get in the best physical shape I can by the time I step into the cage.
